Last post I told you a little about me, but today I’m wondering about you…
What’s your name? How old are you? Ten? Thirty? Ninety-something? (Hi, Mom!) What kind of life do you have? What led you to read this? What are you having for dinner? (I’m not sure either)
What do you believe about Jesus, God and the Bible? Where did your beliefs come from? Have you thought much about it? Sorry if I sound like I am prying, but I am curious about you.
And, just one more question… What do you think about “truth?” Uh-oh, I used that word. Some of you just joined the CLICK group. (I’m really sorry that I lost you now) Somewhere in the past decades, the word truth has gotten a bad rap. It is portrayed as being narrow-minded, bigoted, outdated and judgmental. But, if truth is really truth, wouldn’t you want to know it? And if you know something to be true, wouldn’t it be important to act accordingly?
Before I lose anyone else, I think I’ll stop here—for now. But, can I ask you a favor? At some point this week when you have five minutes of quiet, can you seriously think about what you believe and why you believe it, and how important truth is to you? Thanks. I hope you come back again—it’s been fun talking to you.
