As Chapter 9 of The Bridge from OneDayBow wraps up, Tim gets it. Get’s what? That the King is far greater than he ever thought! Not only is He King, He is Creator and Completer, Sustainer and Sovereign. Molecules and atoms, mountains and amoeba are not the result of accident or chance. The God of the Bible is the Designer and Architect! Not impersonal “force” but an all wise and loving Creator. And that realization is the difference between hope or hopelessness, purpose or passing time.

Gazing into the night sky, Tim suddenly felt small

As he observed the vastness and beauty of it all.

That portion of the sky was a glimpse of so much more.

Tim marveled at the bright stars: Who do they sparkle for?

It seemed like a strange question, but Tim was always taught

It all exists by accident.  But it’s not what they thought.

The King is the Creator—it all was made by Him!

And somehow in that moment it all made sense to Tim.

He made the stars above me, and holds them up in space.

Because of His great power they all stay in their place.

None of this is here by chance—it had to be designed:

Creation is magnificent, chance is dumb and blind.

So, my fellow believers, join with me in standing fast in the fact of Divine Design! Hold true to the Bible account of Genesis 1, because it is true. None of this here by accident, and neither are you. Let’s live today like we believe it, with purpose and gratitude!
